Wellington, Florida · Licensed CBC1267779

I’m Jon, a licensed general contractor who’s called Wellington home for years.

I take on whole-house remodels and small repairs alike—full structural guts with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, or something as small but concerning as a musty smell from a drain in a wall. I know every job is personal to my clients, and so I stay involved from start to finish. I started my career as a mechanical engineer, so I firmly believe process and controls matter. I walk the house myself, send a written estimate, and nothing begins until you approve it. Then I schedule the licensed trades and stay on the job. You deal with me, not an office.

How costs work

You see the number before anyone lifts a tool.

The walk-through or the photos do not come with a price. Costs arrive later, in writing, as an estimate you can approve or reject.

  1. 01

    Scope the job

I look at the house myself—or the photos you send—and name what actually needs doing. No work, no invoice.

  2. 02

Written estimate. You approve or reject.

I send a written estimate. That is when you get the cost. Approve it, reject it, or ask for a change. Nothing is scheduled until you answer.

  3. 03

    Licensed contractors, supervised

If you approve, I schedule the work with my licensed contractors and stay on it. I do not hand you a list of vendors to chase.

We gutted a major portion of our home in equestrian estates: required structure modifications, HVAC, Lutron, plumbing, millwork, and every licensed trade those systems required. One contractor said the span for the great room would take a lot of money and a lot of time. Jon organized it all and ran the job from the site and sent us progress photos while we were out of the country. When the designer specified couches in a green that did not exist, he built them himself and then found a shop to upholster them. That is coordination, not just contracting.

Polo Island needed a rescue remodel, not a cosmetic pass. Jon came in, closed out the loose-end projects after we gave him a punch list. Without him we would not have been able to put the unit on the market as we were out of town. His process was efficient — regular texts and follow-ups so we always knew where things stood. That communication is what I needed and with transparency on costs.. all receipts were attached to his invoices.

The original pool area just wasn’t usable. Jon partnered with an architect, redesigned the outdoor spaces, recast the pool, added a spa, and built an outdoor kitchen. He sourced and set up the specified furniture and recommended electric screens that opened everything up even further. Inside, he found the source of a musty smell—an HVAC drain leaking into an inner wall—opened the wall, fixed the leak, and rebuilt the garage wall. He also turned the golf-cart bay into a gaming center with epoxied floors, AC, and cabinets. I love it. Clear estimates, prices that held, and a house that finally works the way we live.

Funcle GC handled several jobs in one engagement: roof cleaning, exterior paint, fogged-window replacement, and getting our standby generator back online. They sequenced the work so we could stay in the house, kept us informed, and treated the property carefully. Everything finished on schedule and still looks and works the way it should.

Property care when you’re away — or just busy.

I walk Wellington houses on a schedule you set: weekly or as needed. This is a contractor’s look at the house, not a licensed home inspection. If something needs work, that comes later as a written estimate you can approve or reject.

  1. 01

    I walk the house

Humidity, leaks, dead AC, generator, HOA notices — the things vacancy and weather actually do.

  2. 02

    Photos and a short note

You see the house as it is. No price attached to the walk-through itself.

  3. 03

    If work is needed

I send a written estimate. You approve or reject. If you approve, I schedule licensed trades and stay on the job.
